Do you know someone who is 'green burial curious?'
Thursday, October 21st 3:30pm PT, 4:30pm MT, 5:30pm CT, 6:30pm ET This year, we are kicking things off with a two-hour, drop-in evening for everyone who is "green burial curious." If you know someone who might benefit from a gentle introduction to sustainable deathcare, invite them to drop in for this free event. Gail Rubin, certified thanatologist and The Doyenne of Death®; author of A Good Goodbye: Funeral Planning for Those Who Don’t Plan to Die; and coordinator of the Before I Die New Mexico Festival, will host. With humor and honesty, Gail and her guests will tell personal stories about choosing sustainable deathcare. She will show some fun videos of green burial, as it has been portrayed in television programs. Fellow conference speakers Dr. Basil Eldadah and Joél Simone Anthony, aka The Grave Woman, (and more, to be announced!) will join to share their stories. Gail will invite event attendees to tell their stories, too. If you’ve already decided on green burial, this may be the perfect evening to share with your family and friends to help them understand your wishes. |
